Why Peonies Matter
Peonies bloom for just a few weeks each year, and there’s something urgent and wonderful about that. This series is about inviting people into that moment—not just to see the flowers, but to actually be in them.
Peonies are more than just beautiful cut flowers—they’re a symbol of abundance, romance, and the cycles of nature. At Tanglebloom, we grow specialty peonies as the heart of our working farm. The season is brief, intense, and utterly captivating. This year, we’ve designed three distinct events to help you slow down and savor every moment of this rare bloom.

A Botanical Experience with Noel Herbals
Kicking off our season is an intimate collaboration with Shannon Noel Curtis of Noel Herbals. Imagine spending two hours surrounded by just-bursting peonies and wildflowers, with skincare that’s as natural as the garden itself.
Each appointment includes:
A 45-minute botanical facial crafted with plant-based ingredients
Relaxation time in the Field Lounge, our pop-up outdoor space nestled among the blooms
A floral beverage crafted on-site
A take-home bouquet
A bottle of peony flower essence made on-site

A Wood-Fired Wellness Experience with Brattleboro Sauna
There’s nothing quite like the combination of warmth, nature, and intention. For this two-hour experience, we partner with Brattleboro Sauna to bring their beloved mobile, wood-fired sauna directly to our farm.
Each small-group session includes:
55 minutes in a cedar-lined wood-fired sauna
Peaceful time to wander the peony fields
Your own hand-picked stems to take home
A seasonal floral beverage featuring ingredients from Halifax Hollow
Choose Your Time: Thursday evening (6 PM) for sunset relaxation or Friday morning (10 AM) for a fresh-air start to your weekend. Both sessions are limited in size to preserve the intimate experience.

An Evening Celebration at The Humble Mug in Brattleboro
Our series concludes in town, transforming The Humble Mug tea shop into an evening peony garden. This drop-in style celebration is our most accessible event—perfect for friends, families, or anyone wanting to experience peony season in a relaxed atmosphere.
What to expect:
Fresh peony stems to hand-select and assemble into your own take-home bouquet
Special peony-inspired seasonal drinks made with flower syrup by Lia of Halifax Hollow
Locally baked pastries by Tumblewheat Baking available for purchase
A relaxed, social atmosphere—come for an hour or stay the whole time
